With respect to the use of chains or slings, the handling of bundles with electromagnets is much faster and can be carried out by a single operator from the crane cabin or by remote control. A greater volume is available for storing the bundles when using magnets: it is not necessary to use wooden spacers which are required when using chains. Considering that the handling is carried out by only one operator it is not necessary to have other personnel present on the ground or lorry during the manoeuvre which would be a risk condition.
